Trading rules
InstantFunded accounts are funded from day one, so there is no profit target to reach before you can trade. In return we keep a short, clear rulebook. Breaking a loss limit closes the account, so read this page before your first trade.
Account sizes and limits
| Account | Daily loss limit (5%) | Max loss limit (20%) | Equity floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| $50K | $2,500 | $10,000 | $40,000 |
| $100K | $5,000 | $20,000 | $80,000 |
| $200K | $10,000 | $40,000 | $160,000 |
| $300K | $15,000 | $60,000 | $240,000 |
Daily loss limit: 5%
Your equity may not fall more than 5% of your starting balance within one trading day. The day resets at midnight platform server time and the limit counts closed and floating losses. Example: on a $100K account the daily limit is $5,000, so a floating loss of $5,000 at any moment ends the account, even if you would have closed the trade for less.
Maximum loss limit: 20%, static
Your equity may never fall below 80% of your starting balance. The limit is static: it stays fixed however much you earn. On a $100K account it is always $80,000, whereas a trailing limit would rise with your profits and squeeze you.
Risk per trade
Risk no more than 3% of your balance on any trade and place a stop-loss when you open every position. Cumulative margin usage above 70% is treated as gambling-style trading.
Minimum trading days
You need at least 10 trading days before you can request a payout. A trading day is a calendar day on which you open and close at least one trade.
News trading and holding
News trading is allowed. Overnight positions are allowed, and swaps apply unless you add Swap Free. Positions must be closed before the weekend market close unless you add Swing. There is no time limit on your account.
If you breach a rule
Breaching a loss limit closes the account immediately. Breaching a trading practice rule can also lead to loss of profits. See prohibited practices and how payouts work.
